Summer At The Movies

This summer the boys kept telling me that they wanted to go to the movies. They would see an Ice Age 3 commercial and beg to go. I just wasn't sure if their attention spans would cut it for an entire movie (since it doesn't at home) but figured the worst that happens was we got up and left. I had a few days of prep time explaining how they had to be quiet at the movies so I went with my fingers crossed. The first movie was Ice Age 3 in 3D. Not sure our first movie should have been a 3D experience as Bear spent a majority of the time fiddling with his glasses. I brought a huge bag with some snacks and some blankets for them. I have to admit it was really fun. They snuggled in with the blankets, ate their snacks and kept their minimal chatter to a whisper. About 3/4 of the way in Bear lost interest in the movie and snuggled with me instead. A few weeks later they were begging to go again so we went to see the movie UP. This time they knew what to expect and they had a great time. There were more kids in this theater so it was a bit more vocal on everyone's part but still we can officially say the boys have been to the movies! Of course I had to have a photo session :-)
